Ciúnas is the Irish word for stillness. Rooted in Celtic wisdom, this is a meditation practice shaped by nature, the seasons and the quiet of the Irish countryside.
You don’t meditate to escape the world. You meditate to belong to it again.

Mornings / Stillness
Guided Ciúnas meditation, often outdoors, followed by gentle movement to wake the body.
Days / The land
Slow walks through the Sperrin Mountains and along the Owenkillew River. Time for silence, rest and reflection.
Evenings / Music & story
Traditional Irish music, song, dancing, poetry and storytelling by the fire. Celebrate your final night with a live concert.

Cross by boat to a monastic island where monks once came in search of stillness.

Explore underground rivers and caverns on your included day in Fermanagh.

Flights and travel insurance are not included.
Airport transfers cover one coordinated pickup and return for your whole group, from Belfast or Dublin. Please arrange for everyone to arrive together at the same airport and time.

Brídín Mullan
More than 20 years teaching yoga and meditation across Ireland, India, Spain, Scotland and Holland.
Brídín opened Orba in 2013 on her family’s land in Omagh, on the site of her grandfather’s workshop. Ciúnas shares the stillness she has always returned home to find.

Do we need meditation experience?
No. Every session is guided, and beginners are very welcome.
Will everyone have their own room?
Yes. Up to 19 guests each have a private ensuite room, or 20 when a couple shares.
Which airport should we fly into?
Belfast or Dublin. Your whole group should arrive at the same airport, and we’ll collect you together. We offer one pick up and drop off to the airport, so please ensure the whole group arrives same time. We bring you to An Creagán.
What currency is used?
Pounds sterling (£).
What’s the weather like?
Changeable. Bring layers, waterproofs and comfortable walking shoes. The mist is part of the magic.
Do we need a car?
No. We provide transport between your accommodation at An Creagán and the retreat at Orba every day, as well as airport transfers and the day trip.
